International Weeks

Expand your professional profile and intercultural competence and complete the required courses of the NORDAKADEMIE Master’s programme with an excursion to China or Russia! In the lecture hall, on a joint daytrip or during leisure time, whether together with other Master's students of the NORDAKADEMIE or alone in a group of international students – the exchange of experiences locally will open up completely new perspectives!

With the International Weeks, we cooperate with foreign subsidiaries of partner companies and cooperation partners of the NORDAKADEMIE and the best universities in each country.

The study trip offered every two years to China allows the Master’s students to visit the most important industrial Chinese city of Shanghai in addition to China's cultural and political hub of Beijing.

The focus of the China International Week are lectures at renowned universities (UIBE Peking, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS),Tongji University, Shanghai) as well as visits to the Chinese representatives of renowned German companies such as Allianz, Airbus, Eppendorf, Draeger, Volkswagen, Körber Engineering, Kuehne + Nagel. Also visits to Chinese companies are part of the program. Complemented by an extensive cultural programme – in which the Great Wall cannot be missing - this International Week will lead to a deeper understanding of the politics, economy and culture of the leading economy in Asia.

The bi-annual study trip to Russia consists of a combination of university lectures, company visits and a cultural programme.

Various company visits are on the agenda during the trips to Moscow and St. Petersburg. These include visits to the EU-funded waterworks Vodokanal and the Baltika Breweries, the largest brewery in Europe. These provide a detailed insight into specific processes in production and distribution channels of Russian companies.

As a participant of an International Week you may attend lectures at the university in St. Petersburg or Moscow, which will help you to better understand the cultural differences between Russia and Germany. Topics such as "How to do business in Russia" or even an interesting lecture on the economic situation in Russia give valuable insight into Russian society.

Cultural highlights of any trip to Russia are offered both in St. Petersburg such as the Catherine Palace with the Amber Room or the Winter Palace but also in Moscow with the Red Square as well as the Kremlin.
